This is a fantastic cartoon version of the book and is less
scary than the recent film version, (for younger viewers).
This review is really from a child's perspective, as I grew up with this
film and loved it!
If I'm honest as a child, I struggled with what perceived to be dusty old
stories about Jesus and his life. I really do believe that this film
helped me to look at the crucifixion story with an emotional response. I
know it sounds a bit silly but I really grasped how amazing this perfect
golden lion was, who represented Jesus.
All I can say is buy it. No childhood is complete without it! Date: 1 May 2006 | I have this version on video and my kids love it ( they are 3 and 4 years old.) It is good light-hearted entertainment for kids, and the colours are quite bright and not dark and dreary like some versions I have seen.
I would recommend this film for a younger child who would like to watch the story without being scared by the special effects. Date: 25 April 2006 |
