Casting Crowns debut album “Casting Crowns“ was written in 2003, and consists of nine amazingly insightful Christian music songs that take an honest look at some of the dangers and difficulties that Christians face, and one which is not written by Casting Crowns that is weaker then the rest. The powerful lyrics may require some digesting, but the Christian music songs of heartfelt praise and joy in the second half of the album will uplift you. The inspiration for many of these songs comes from verses within the bible, proving the soundness of their lyrics, which at one time will be sober, and other times upbeat.

What If His People Prayed?
The spectacular “What if his people prayed?” begins Casting Crowns amazing debut album with a bang. Mark Hall questions what would happen if God’s people prayed more and the effect this would have on Satan, and questions why we don’t do it enough. This was a great Christian music song to open their debut album with as it is lyrically challenging and a lot of fun to listen to.

If We Are The Body
Casting Crowns now amaze us with “If we are the body”, which drums questions into us about the judgemental church. Mark Hall is asking why the church does not accept everyone and is always so unwelcoming. The lyrics are very empowering and the song has great upbeat Christian music. This has become a very popular Christian music song worldwide, and you will soon see why.

Voice Of Truth
“Voice of Truth” is an inspirational song that is fantastic both in lyrical content and musically. Casting Crowns is encouraging us to step into unknown territories where Jesus is “holding out his hand”, and to step away from our comfort zone where the loud voice of evil lurks. Mark Hall is encouraging us to listen to the gentle whisper of the “voice of truth” and we will do incredible feats. This is a fantastic Christian music song to listen to with a great energetic beat and the emotive singing of Mark Hall.

Who Am I
“Who am I” will astound you with its emotional lyrics that speak of the disbelief we feel that the “God of all the earth” loves us, cares about us, and even feels our pain. This song is sung with amazing passion that it will definitely strike a chord with you. This is a truly beautiful Christian music song.

American Dream
The rocking “American Dream” drums into us the importance of family and faith, and how we need the existence of God to survive. To live a life of work is to pour all you have in “a castle made of sand”, which will undoubtedly collapse. This is a fantastically honest track that will speak to lots of hearts – not just in America!

Here I Go Again
The inspirational prayer “Here I go again” cries out to God for strength and courage in spreading the truth to our loved ones and for help with the “all familiar fear” we feel whilst doing this. Mark Hall sings of us wrestling with our feelings and struggling with our words, when all that matters is the simple truth, and that soon it may be too late to spread it. This is definitely one of the most powerful Christian music songs on the album.

Praise You With The Dance
The upbeat and energetic “Praise you with the dance” is based on the Psalms and is refreshingly simple and enjoyable to listen to. Casting Crowns pour out their devotion to God, and the added violin solo of “Lord of the dance” brings an extra special touch to this song.

Glory
Casting Crowns pour out all their praise to God in the Christian music song “Glory” as He is “master of the universe” who is “worthy of their praise”. This is a particularly enjoyable track with great background harmonies combined with electrifying guitar rifts and upbeat drumming, courtesy of Andy Williams.

Life Of Praise
“Life of Praise” is a particularly cheerful and catchy Christian music song, which bursts with praise for “the light of Judah”. Casting Crowns are lifting their hands to the “alpha and omega”, for the “God of nations” is “worthy of their praise”. This is a wonderfully fun song to listen to.

Your Love Is Extravagant
Unfortunately, “Your love is extravagant”, the only song on this album not written by a member of Casting Crowns is a rather poor ending to this powerful album.
