Beautiful One
A burst of passionate praise begins “Beautiful One” which is a powerful start to this album. The tender beginning lets way to a chorus which comes alive and literally shouts about the beauty of God. The wonder of God has been captured by Tim Hughes, and he sings of how we shall never know the full extent of the love he feels for us. This is an amazing praise song with upbeat music and inspirational lyrics. This is an excellent start to this powerful album.

We are now quietly led into the gentle “You” that sings of how wonderful and “awesome” God is. Tim Hughes sings of the greatness of God and how no words are enough to describe him. These are glorifying lyrics that praise God for who he is. Musically it is very exciting to listen to with a great drum beat that goes perfectly with the strong vocals. The ending repetition of “take the world but give me you” is a wonderful finish and the essence of this song.

Consuming Fire
“Consuming Fire” is a passionate prayer that cries to God to fill us anew. Tim Hughes sings of the desperation he has to know God more, and leads the church in a universal cry to God asking him to deepen their passion for him. This is a very catchy song, with an upbeat drum beat and exciting music which is simply asking for more of God.

“Giver of life” is a bubbly song of praise, and it sounds as though Tim Hughes had a lot of fun writing and performing this song. The wonderful, unconditional love of God is sung of as Tim Hughes praises God with exciting energetic music.
